Our poster is within Ifla 2018’s theme: “Transform libraries, transform societies: reaching out the hard to reach”. Our team studied the relation between libraries and immigrants. We quickly realized that if libraries wanted to be relevant for this public, it was more interesting for them to establish partnerships with associations working to help immigrants. We conducted interviews with three associations working with first generation immigrants. We chose to represent a case study from one of these interviews on our poster: the partnership between Lyon’s public library and a local social center. This successful project named "Alipo" aimed to improve French and personal expression by delivering poetry workshops and it got a lot of positive feedbacks from the participants.en
