dc.description.abstract「IFLA–UNESCO 学校図書館宣言 2025」は，1999年に発表された「IFLA/ユネスコ 学校図書館宣言：すべての人のための教授と学習における学校図書館」の改訂版である。新しい版では，テクノロジー，社会，教育における多くの変化が反映されており，質の高い包摂的な教育を支える学校図書館のアドボカシーにとって重要かつ有用なツールとなっている。本宣言は，IFLA，IASL，そして世界中の学校図書館コミュニティによる協働の成果である。2021年9月12日に，IFLA学校図書館部会常任委員会とIASL（国際学校図書館協会）によって英語版が共同で発表され，2023年4月17日にIFLA理事会により承認された。その後，2025年4月に開催されたユネスコ「みんなのための情報計画（IFAP）」政府間理事会第13回会合において正式に承認された。
