Transform, Think Outside the Box, Connect, Collaborate: East/Southeast & Pacific Asia Libraries with US libraries

Abstract

The ALA International Relations Committee - East Asia and Pacific Subcommittee was set up to promote relations with libraries and librarians in the countries of East Asia, South East Asia and Pacific. The objectives of this poster are: (1) to promote the ALA IRC East Asia and Pacific Subcommittee’s work to IFLA WLIC 2018 attendees; and (2) to share how the ALA IRC East Asia and Pacific Subcommittee helps US and East/Southeast/Pacific libraries connect and collaborate. The poster features photos, graphics, and text highlighting 4 areas of activity from the ALA IRC East Asia and Pacific Subcommittee: (1) Conference presentations; (2) Networking events; (3) Social media; and (4) Web resource lists.
