| dc.description.abstract | Haramaya University, a rural campus university in eastern Ethiopia, requested some training for library staff in the basics of librarianship during my sabbatical time from September 2022-March 2023. This training covered topics such as cataloging, reference, and book repair and was also asked to provide English language skills training. There were the usual obstacles with lack of water, electricity and Internet on a daily basis. Campus hyenas made their presence known each day as well and made life interesting. | |
