Abstract
Brazilian arts libraries have as their primary mission to corroborate with the cultural development of the country, however, they suffer from the lack of infrastructure, human and financial resources. The solution founded by the institutions was to work together. This poster presents information about the Network of Art Libraries and Information Centers in the State of Rio de Janeiro (Rede de Bibliotecas e Centros de Informação em Arte no Estado do Rio de Janeiro – REDARTE/RJ), which since 1995 develops activities for the benefit of information professionals, the collections of Arts and its costumers. This Network offers space to transform uncertainties into opportunities, to converting tacit knowledge into sharing of experiences and knowledge. REDARTE/RJ covers all areas of Arts and currently has more than 30 (thirty) associate members. The work is voluntary, and all activities are carried out and solved in solidarity way. According to Godbout (1998), the gift (solidarity) may have one or more interpretations, but, the approach adopted in this poster was: “the gift moves for or in the name of the social ties". For Martins (2013, p.8), the “social ties” overcomes times. It is observed the continuous learning in search of improvements of the work process of the members of the REDARTE/RJ; according to Senge (2004), "the learning organization". This group is aligned with the practices of knowledge management, as pointed out by Melo (2015), which informs: 86% of the members affirm that participating in the network generates a climate of trust and credibility in shared information; and, 86% of members agree that they are encouraged to share faults, actions and incorrect attitudes. It is a solidary network of information in Art, a model that can be followed by other information networks.
