The electronic resources usage dashboard leverages EZproxy logs across different databases to provide libraries with a comprehensive view of patron behavior, including identifying unique usage patterns and hidden trends across diverse user segments. This understanding enables library management to tailor services and resources to meet the specific demands of each group, fostering a more user-centered environment. An invaluable advantage of the dashboard is identifying the same publication accessed through multiple databases. Subject librarians and library management can utilize this data to refine electronic collection strategies, optimizing resource availability and improving library services. The integration of AI and machine learning elevates this process. A prediction model is developed to forecast usage through advanced pattern recognition. Furthermore, the integration of a Generative AI chatbot allows library management to interact with complex datasets through natural conversation, delivering immediate summaries and recommendation on resource subscription. The predictive analysis and chatbot also accelerate data-driven decision-making process while significantly enhancing accuracy. Leveraging data analytics and Generative AI enhances library operational efficiency, ensuring that library investments are both evidence-based and responsive to the evolving information landscape.
