dc.description.abstractMinutes of the 79th IFLA Governing Board meeting held on 23 August 2021 via teleconference. The Board approved minutes from the June meeting, confirmed appointments to the FAIFE and Standards Committees, and endorsed IFLA’s support for the #ebooksos campaign. Key updates included progress on the IFLA Handbook, strategic direction reports, and the 2021 Planning Dashboard. The Board reviewed outcomes from WLIC 2021, preparations for WLIC 2022, and the 2021 half-year financial report. It also approved the admission of 101 new members and discussed the upcoming General Assembly. The meeting concluded with acknowledgments for the outgoing Board and President.
