dc.description.abstractInformation has no boundaries and is one of the vital resources for solving problems, making decisions. Everybody in the society requires information to achieve some given goal or objective. It has played a significant role in the overall development of the societies since time in memorial. The emergence of libraries came about due to the need for keeping all written information in all formats for protection and preservation. Libraries were considered as an effective means for gathering the wealth of information generated by man over the years for the present and for prosperity. The poster highlights recent perspectives on the role libraries in provision of Information and Media literacy skills, bridging the digital divide, lobbying and enhancing partnerships in libraries a global network of community-based institutions ready to support national development plans locally, nationally, and internationally as a resource for improved decision-making.en
