Официальный перевод на русский язык издания2001 г. был подготовлен ЮНЕСКО. Настоящее Руководство, подготовленное ИФЛА в 2010 г., издается РБА также на основании официального разрешения ИФЛА. Данное «второе полностью пересмотренное» издание является обновленной версией издания 2001-2002 гг. Не весь текст подвергся изменениям, и там, где он сохранился в неизменном виде, для обеспечения преемственности, мы полностью сохранили перевод ЮНЕСКО2001 г. Перевод на русский язык всех изменений и дополнений 2010 г. является официальным переводом РБА.
