Abstract
In this statement from 2018, IFLA's Secretary General expresses serious concerns about a Mexican copyright reform that would allow online articles, videos and other works to be removed based solely on alleged infringement. Referring to the Manila Principles, IFLA argues that these measures lack transparency, due process and proportionality, thereby threatening freedom of expression and access to information.
